Newlife M12 consortium meeting continues in Berlin

Day two: The Newlife consortium is diving deeper into the exciting technical achievements of the project in the M12 meeting on 23-25 January 2024. Together with the technical coordinator Hoa Pham from Philips Electronics (PEN), the work package (WP) leaders started their presentations by status updates.

WP2 & WP4 were presented by Petra Sommarlund (Cuviva)
WP3: Antero Närvä & Joni Hirviniemi (Fujitsu) (in photo: Antero and Hoa Pham)
WP5: Valerio Beni (RISE)
WP7: Markus Strecker (Teiimo)
WP8: Tuomas Valtonen (UTU).

Andre Immink (PEN) also showed interesting results from WP6 and many fascinating items within WP2, such as LCA and ethical considerations in clinical studies, were discussed.

Anna Axelin (UTU) brought Trustworthy AI aspects for discussion and presented plans to map out the ethical needs of each stakeholder or partner. The Use Cases and work packages continued to organize their workshops during the second day.

We have learnt that a lot of time is needed to plan the future work. Malin Tverin and Satu Ek from Spinverse presented the most important action items in the project management together with Philips.

The meeting days have been full of hard work but at the same time, there has been a lot of learning, joy and nice people to meet and work with.

Yesterday evening we were very excited to see six locations at IZM: the Cleanroom, Substrate integration, Textile Prototyping Lab (TPL), E-textile Bonder Lab, TexLab and Mechanical Testing Lab.

Warmest of thanks to IZM for the great organization of the tour and the whole meeting so far!
